Girovagando su YouTube ho trovato questo video relativo al tour promozionale che Enya ha effettuato lo scorso fine novembre in Giappone. Si tratta del video relativo all’accensione delle luci al Rippongi Hills, evento al quale Enya ha partecipato in veste di madrina. Pochi giorni fa su YouTube è stato aggiunto anche il video in cui Enya, Nicky e Roma Ryan ci parlano di Oíche Chiún (Silent Night). Ricordo che anche in questo caso si tratta di uno dei video già trasmessi in occasione dell’uscita di And Winter Came…

Novità da YouTube

Finalmente su YouTube è stato aggiunto il video dell’intervista che Enya ha rilasciato all’emittente EuroNews. L’intervista non aggiunge nulla di nuovo a quanto già sappiamo in merito.

A questo video ne aggiungo altri tre in cui Enya e Roma Ryan parlano di alcune canzoni all’interno dell’album: Journey of the Angels, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel e Last Time by Moonlight. Enya: intervista su Aera-net.jp

L’intervista è apparsa sul magazine giapponese AERA English News Magazine pochi giorni fa ed esattamente il 23 febbraio. Di questa intervista è presente sia il video che la sua trascrizione sul sito AERA-net.jp; ad accompagnare il tutto c’è una nuova foto che non si sa se scattata recentemente o meno. ENYA: I find that being successful doesn't make it any easier to write a melody, you know, that you have written so many albums doesn't make it easy to go in. So I have to forget the success and the listeners what they are expecting. I have to leave all that aspect of the music outside of the studio, and to just really bring in where I will concentrate on the work. That is what is really important. That, there is no distractions, nothing to interfere with looking for one song at a time. It's important to keep focus on it. Things like that where people say, "but you have written so many songs, " It doesn't mean that I will write more songs, you have to really, sometimes for me, it's like a month and I say it to Nicky, "Oh my God, do I write another song?", and "Yes, it's gonna take longer but you will write another song." So confident wise, you do get writer's block. You know, that would happen. So it's again to me, it's very exciting moment, when I write the songs. So I get very excited. I think, yes, song, I wrote it. So it always feels new to me. It always feels like it is a new melody, but it holds a certain amount of fascination to myself as well. I might keep thinking what I am gonna do, and next day, I've written. It's very difficult to analyze writing other songs. Quite difficult.

Q: You know the excitement, but you know also the writer's block.

ENYA: Yes, maybe the last song I wrote that I ever write... But I get encouragement. I said from Nicky and from Roma. It takes as long as you want. It's always like write whatever I want. It has to be natural progression as well for me that whatever that the strongest emotional feeling that I want to get across to the listeners, is what I am trying to capture in the song. So you might play a song you think but it's not saying anything, you know, it doesn't move me in any way, so in that regard, I put a lot of importance on the work that it's not enough to just write melody, it has to have a depth to it. Something that is important to me that I can relate to, when I sing it, that I feel it very emotionally is very important to me.

Come vi avevo già detto in questo post (in data 19/12/2008) sul canale televisivo irlandese ITV3 sarebbe stato messo in onda uno speciale dedicato alle più ricche celebrità irlandesi (Ireland’s Richest Celebrities) nel quale si parlava anche di Enya. Enya: intervista a Sunrise Channel 7 Australia

Eccovi finalmente l’intervista presso l’emittente televisiva australiana Sunrise Channel 7 (dell’08/11/2008). Come ben sapete il video di questa intervista era disponibile solo sul sito dell’emittente televisiva australiana e solo una quindicina di giorni fa è stato aggiunto su YouTube (scusate il ritardo). La qualità non è ottima.

Enya: le performance all’Happy Xmas Show

Su YouTube sono finalmente reperibili i video delle due performance di Enya all’Happy Xmas Show, registrate durante il tour promozionale in Giappone a fine novembre. Come vi avevo detto in questo post, il sito della Warner Music Japan aveva reso noto che lo show sarebbe stato trasmesso il 23 dicembre sul canale NTV. In tale occasione Enya ha eseguito (in playback ovviamente) Orinoco Flow e Trains And Winter Rains. Le due esibizioni sono precedute da un messaggio di auguri di Enya che parla inoltre delle due canzoni. Davvero suggestive le performance all’interno della miniera.

And Winter Came…: la performance dello Staatballet di Berlino

Su YouTube il video dello Staatballett di Berlino che si è esibito durante il lancio del nuvo album di Enya avvenuto lo scorso 3 novembre. Il corpo di ballo ha danzato come saprete su alcune canzoni di And Winter Came… Le canzoni in questione sono Journey Of The Angels, Trains And Winter Rains, Dreams Are More Precious, Last Time By Moonlight e My! My! Time Flies! Il video, tratto dal sito tedesco Enya.de, contiene alcuni spezzoni delle varie esibizioni.
